The magnificent Peckforton Castle, built between 1842 and 1851 by John Tollemache. His dream, achieved with spectacular results, was to build on the top of the Peckforton hills a fortified home in the style of a medieval castle. The Tollemache family lived in the castle until 1939 and it became a Grade I listed building in 1952. After a few changes of ownership since, it is now a hotel and wedding/conference venue. Over the years the castle has been used as a location for making movies, for television and cinema, for instance: Robin Hood, Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Who.

The hotel, as an integral part of its commitment to save energy, resources and the impact on the environment, chose CEF in partnership with Fusion Lamps to light the main reception room and bedrooms. Using high powered sparkling 4W LED candle lamps in their chandeliers, the hotel gains substantial energy and cost savings - up to 90% with this installation.

Products used: 4W LED Candles (EDLED/CAN/SBC/CL/D, EDLED/CAN/BC/CL, EDLED/CAN/SES/CL)
